Description
This fossil leaf is from the Eocene period, about 48 million years old, and was found in the Green River Formation in Utah. It belongs to the species Salix, a type of willow. These trees are a sign that tells us that we’re near a lake, therefore they’ve grown pretty well in this beautiful environment. This piece exhibits exceptional preservation and excellent color.
